well... plenty has happened since our last long format communication! thank you for taking the time to read this blog, being a small business we really appreciate everyone who interacts with our business, wether that is liking our posts, stories and leaving comments on social media, or coming to see us in person at our trade events - it means the world to us to see familiar faces! theres been some radio silence i'll admit, we've been so busy making sure everything is ready for our shows, while pivoting our business strategy and other boring technical stuff.
i'll start from the beginning: at the begining of july, we began our rebrand which admittedly was within too close proximity to our market day in ripon, which led to a setup in ripon which we definitely weren't happy with, it felt unfinished and rushed (which it was!). as a result, we took a step back from market days to ensure the rebrand felt consistent across all platforms, and would enable us to return to markets with a setup that was truly beautiful and something we are proud of. you can see our full event calendar on the events tab of the website, with our returning market at kilnsey show on september 1st. the show has a long history of marking the end of summer, and we are so excited to be at an event with so much going on. the setup is coming together nicely, and we can't wait to show you all!
as we moved into the middle of july, battling heatwave after heatwave, josh graduated from university! we had a lovely day in york celebrating and scout was able to come along too, making for a great photo which is up on instagram if you've not seen!
the rest of july has been dog walks and plenty of things to do! as we look forward to kilnsey, chatsworth and sandringham, we have ramped up making to make sure we've got enough stock buildup to get us through the busy period - then its onto making stock ready for our biggest christmas yet. our christmas events are up on the events tab and we've got some brand new gift boxes ready for launch.
if you're signed up to our email newsletter (at the bottom of the page), you will have seen a short section announcing a new member of thehuggablehook team! we collected a new industrial machine on the 9th august - now named 'jemima the juki', which is going to help us meet the level of stock needed going into the busy periods! ella is having a brilliant time making stock which is now much quicker to create, leaving her more time to focus on bringing new creations and ideas and putting her brilliant creative mind to work!
thank you for reading our blog post - if you haven't already, make sure to sign up for our email newsletter and follow us on social media. you can find all of this at the bottom of the page. again, thank you so much for engaging with our business - if you have any questions, ideas or feedback for any part of our lovely small business please do not hesitate to send us an email through the "leave a review" tab on the menu bar! speak soon!
